Apparently this constitutes news. https://twitter.com/ilikekev/status/1168549049303044096?s=21 I'll be out back bleaching my eyes everyone!
In case you also missed it, one of the most popular and highest selling VK bands of the 90s got back together and are touring (with three new members)! It's really cool to see Shazna back out there, as I thought they were done for good after their farewell show in 2009. Vocalist Izam even... Continue Reading →
Forgive me forgive me! A bitch been busy, as they say, and April hasn't exactly been the most exciting month for music "IMO". Anywho, here's a little catch up post to get us back in the groove. Kevin Abstract released a single, then an EP a few days later in true brockhampton fashion. Listen to... Continue Reading →
Some tragic news came my way this week as I learned that prolific vocaloid producer Wowaka (also of the band hitorie) passed in his sleep of acute heart failure April 5th. He will he missed, and his music will continue to live on with us. https://youtu.be/v36KMdiWHao
Or in this case, "25th anniversay". COTD are not a regularly performing group, so don't miss out on a chance to see them if you're in Japan, especially for an anniversary! Can't believe their debut LP is as old as I am.

It's a bit....uninspired? I don't know, maybe i'm getting... Continue Reading →
At long last, mother Hatchie's first LP, "Keepsake" has been announced for a June release! Featuring 10 cuts produced with Sugar & Spice's John Castle, "Keepsake" is sure to meet and exceed our expectations. The first cut off the album, "Without a Blush" is out now, and I can't get enough of it. Don't dilly... Continue Reading →
That's it. That's the story. One of the most beloved bands of the 90's J-alt scene is getting back together for a one off performance at the Rising Sun Festival 2019 (with possible tour/further activity to follow!), and I couldn't be more excited. It's also pretty hilarious that vocalist Mukai Shutoku literally admitted that this... Continue Reading →
Because I've been too fucked with my jobs to have time to write, here's my attempt at catching you up to all the latest in my fantastic music sphere! Marina (sans the Diamonds) has announced her new double album, following 2015's "FROOT". Titled "Love+Fear", the two sides each deal with their respective emotion and will... Continue Reading →
